Professional Service Public Relations
The Arts of Promoting Knowledge and Expertise

Law, accounting and management consulting firms are among the fastest growing businesses in our economy – and so have been their needs for sophisticated and specialized public relations skills.

They need communications pros who leverage smarts, not products.  Pros who promote legal, accounting, business and policy expertise to build a firm’s brand, or an issue’s prominence. Communication experts themselves who showcase expertise and shape opinions through strategies built on speeches, op-eds, policy papers, networking conferences, as well as traditional media relations and events.

This course is designed to give you a foundation in the p.r. skills of promoting knowledge – in cultures and organizations where self-promotion is both frowned upon and legally restricted.

The instructor, William Doll, heads Bill Doll & Co., a communications and research firm in Cleveland that specializes in professional service public relations with law, accounting and management consulting firms. Bill has a doctorate in sociology, is an attorney and is the former theater critic at the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
