The Content and Social Media Coordinator reports to the Director of Communications.

This role will support OhioGuidestone’s communications goals by researching, writing, reviewing and editing content to be strategically integrated across organization channels.

This person will work collaboratively with staff to promote their goals and messages, while following OhioGuidestone branding guidelines. The candidate must be comfortable with change, have a strong work ethic and be able to collaborate with diverse staff and stakeholders. The individual must also be able to set priorities, handle multiple assignments and deadlines and display mature judgment while operating in a flexible and professional manner. Essential Functions:

Understand the goal, audience and message of campaigns and create integrated messaging to suit Research, write, edit and proof all levels of copy for all publications, online/offline as well as external/internal needs

Work closely with colleagues across the organization to develop content with call to action, following multi-channel content calendar and meeting deadlines

Use creative thinking and initiative to build and implement goal-oriented social media/digital programs that ensure appropriate messaging to key audiences by incorporating tools including: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.

Analyze trends across channels using metrics, search engine optimization, etc. Monitor tools and applications and recommend next steps;

Report insights gained from website, social media and internal/external monitoring to Director of Communications

Respond to social media inquiries in a timely and courteous fashion

Provide support to other team members as needed

Adhere to branding and AP style guidelines

Maintains regular and reliable attendance

May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes

In times of need, may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by their supervisor

Performance/Physical Requirements:

Must have strong English reading, writing and verbal skills

Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks

Attention to detail and confidentiality required

High level of computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, CMS and basic database usage required

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, as well as an understanding of image formats is a plus

Excellent research, writing, proofreading, editing, verbal and written communication skills

Technical knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, metrics and tracking

Experienced with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Outlook

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education and a minimum of two years of related professional experience not in internships. Preference will be placed on candidates who have corporate or non-profit agency experience.
