JOB SUMMARY

Marcus Thomas, an integrated marketing communications agency, is looking for an exceptionally talented Public Relations Senior Account Executive to make a mark with our agency and clients. This professional will work directly with a variety of consumer clients to plan and execute social media and public relations programs, while also collaborating across multiple agency disciplines on award-winning work.

The role will sit within the agency’s nationally recognized public relations community of practice, a team of counselors and specialists with deep expertise in a variety of subdisciplines, including social media, influencer marketing, media relations, corporate communications and content services. Members of the public relations practice work closely alongside a growing team of some of the brightest minds in creative, media, analytics and strategic services.

Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and process-driven professional who demonstrates strong critical thinking, interpersonal and writing skills; has a track record of managing social media for brands; and can manage a large and varied body of public relations work.

WHO YOU ARE

Three to five years’ experience in public relations, influencer and/or social media marketing. Agency experience preferred.
Knack for creating great working relationships and collaborating with teams and clients.
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects without missing deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately with various audiences.
Experience in social media, influencer and content marketing, including paid and owned channels.
Sound strategic thinking – with an ability to prioritize activities to meet business goals.
Experience with social listening and native analytic platforms, as well as an ability to analyze data to inform strategies.
A strong aptitude and curiosity for new and emerging cultural and digital trends; plus, a desire to experiment with these trends to support client goals.
A passion to produce great work, and an unbridled desire to make a mark on our clients, agency, community and industry by finding unexpected solutions, listening as passionately as you speak, and leaving everything you touch a little better than you found it.

WHAT YOU DO

Manage client relationships on a daily basis as part of a larger client service team. Tasks include participation in status meetings, formal reporting, facilitating planning and strategy sessions, daily communications (in person, via electronic channels and by phone), client presentations, completing written documentation such as scopes of work, and managing client budgets and timelines.
Maintain effective, timely and valuable client contact. Respond to questions/issues quickly, honestly and completely.
Create and manage execution of a comprehensive social content calendar, including content planning, concepting, completing short-form copy assignments and working with creative partners throughout the production process.
Serve as a dedicated community manager across clients’ social platforms, interacting daily with and providing support to external audiences on behalf of the brands.
Develop and execute influencer programs and promotions to support client objectives, as needed.
Manage social media analytics, working within client systems and the agency’s analytics team as needed to provide quarterly data reports and analysis.
Monitor social media and industry trends, and proactively bring ideas forward that meet client objectives.
Orchestrate agency teams and resources, facilitating collaboration to deliver on client needs and strategic priorities. Guide team members to completion, ensuring attention to detail along the way.
