ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:Compose press releases, public service announcements and feature stories; assist in promotion and advertising of special events, and public relations/promotional campaigns; create printed collateral materials; social media interaction, and assist with other marketing-related functions.
College program in public relations, marketing, communications, or journalism.
Experience in public relations writing and special event planning is preferred.
Excellent writing and communications skills, and design skills preferred.
Knowledge of the Greater Cleveland media and Cleveland Metroparks helpful.
Mac software and computer knowledge and ability preferred.
Must be able to work some weekends and/or extra hours.
WAGE: $8.50 per hour; 40-hours per week.
Typically Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, may include some weekends and/or evenings.
Approximately 12-week program.
